1. We buy permits on overnight tours. For rentals, they buy their own permits.
2. PRNS wants NO more than 25 people on a campsite. If someone is wanting more people than that, they have to get multiple permits and not mention it. The park is firm on this. (Except for groups they grandfathered in - a sailing group that has been doing this for years in Sept.)
3. Costs: Small: 1-7 campers: $ 15
Medium: 7-14 $ 25
Large: 15-25 $ 40
4. Fire permit: There are two permits needed for each camping event. The camping permit which costs $. and a FIRE permit which does not cost. The Park decides on a daily basis whether or not they will allow open campfires. When a fire in not allowed, people can cook over a propane stove.
5. Firewood: Do not gather firewood. Bring their own or buy it from us. For the protection from Sudden Oak Death the Park Service approves Almond, Pine, Eucalyptus. Easy to remember if you use APE to remind yourself.
6. Firewood types: For the protection from Sudden Oak Death the Park Service approves Almond, Pine, Eucalyptus.
